· Be willing to stand behind the VMH Mission, purpose, rules and goals of the team once decided.
· Speak supportively and with good purpose.
· Acknowledge whatever is being said as true for the speaker at the moment.
· Complete all your agreed upon commitments and responsibilities.
· Make only commitments that you are willing and intend to keep.
· Communicate any potential broken commitments at the first appropriate time.
· If a problem arises, first look to the system for corrections and then communicate your solutions to the person who can do something about it.
· Focus on what works.
· Be on time and keep time agreements
· Deal direct by not going behind people’s backs with problems.
· Have the same willingness for your teammate to be right as you would for yourself.
· When in doubt, act first and debrief later. Don’t let personal issues stand in the way of your tasks.
· Agree to work toward an agreement.
· Take personal responsibility, No laying blame, justification or finger-pointing.
· Actively celebrate and acknowledge all wins of your teammates & residents.
· Clarify your won communications and verify the responses.
· Do not desire to seek sympathy or acknowledgment.
· Never abandon a teammate in need.
